Dear Public Officials:
As a resident of the High Desert of San Bernardino County, I greatly value the beauty and serenity of the area. I oppose the proposed Coolwater-Lugo Transmission Project. I am very concerned that this project will ruin the beauty and serenity of the High Desert, present severe fire danger, cause irreparable harm to the fragile desert environment, create health problems for nearby residents and visitors, and drastically lower our property values. I am also distressed that the approval process has thus far given little attention to the people who live in the area and would be most affected.
I am in favor of green energy. Lucerne and Apple Valleys are ideal for site-specific solar energy, such as rooftop and parking-lot solar units. As for large, industrial-size projects, there are alternative areas for these projects that would be less devastating to people and the natural habitat.
I would appreciate your support in stopping the Coolwater-Lugo Transmission Project.
Thank you for your time in reviewing this matter.
