VIDEO: Desert Advocates Speak Out at DRECP Meeting

More than 400 advocates for the High Mojave Desert gathered in Victorville on October 29, 2014, to inform the agencies behind the Desert Renewable Energy Conservation Plan (DRECP) that they do not want to see the beautiful California desert become a dumping ground for industrial-scale renewable energy projects—projects that are not wanted and not needed.

Some 55 speakers addressed the panel. Each offered a distinct perspective, but all agreed that the DRECP planners must go back to the drawing board.

This video portrays a sampling of that evening’s speakers.
